Create your Georgia Quilt block

For a baby size quilt, you’re going to want 30 quilt blocks. You will also add a border and binding which we will talk about below.
Assemble Your Georgia Quilt Pattern

To make a baby quote, you’re going to take and do five blocks across and six blocks going down.
Step 1:
So each Quilt Block in a row. You want to make sure that you alternate the direction you pressure seam allowances for each row. That will help them lay flat when you put your rows together.
Once you get all of your rows sewn, you want to go ahead and attach your rose to make your quilt Center.
Step two:
You may need to straighten up your quilt ends depending whether or not your fabric shifted as you sewed. Once you get that done go ahead and measure your quilt Center and then create your quilt border.
You can use one of the Fabrics that you have for your quilt Center or you could pick a totally different border. I usually make my border two to three inches in width.
If you are new to doing a quilt border, here is a great video on how to do that. I usually do my top borders first and then add in my side borders.
Finishing Your Quilt

Once you’ve attached your border, you want to go ahead and quilt your entire quilt. Because this is a baby quilt, you can easily do this on your domestic sewing machine. If you have a long arm you can easily do it on that also.
You simply want a sandwich your quilt with your quilt backing, quilt batting, and your quilt with the Border.
Once your quilt is finished you can add a two and a half inch wide border all around your quilt. You can keep it for yourself or you can give it as a gift. This Georgia quilt pattern is super cute and super simple to make.
